What counties do you cover?

We cover Bell, Coryell, Lampasas, and Williamson.


Do I have to get a doctor's referral?

While a Homehealth client can be referred by anyone, doctor, hospital discharge planner, self, family, etc. a doctor must sign for services. Tex Med Home Health works very hard to work as the Doctor's eyes and ears in the patients' home and most doctors appreciate the value of Home Healthcare.


Who chooses which Home Healthcare?

The ultimate decision belongs to the patient. In the same manner you can choose which doctor you go to, you also have the choice of Home Healthcare agencies.


Who pays for Tex Med Home Health's services?

If you meet the criteria for Medicare Home Health Care, the services are free to the patient.


Who is eligible for Medicare Home Health Care?

  • Doctor must agree that you need care in your home
  • You must need at least one of the following: intermittent skilled nursing care, Physical Occupational or Speech therapy services and
  • You must be homebound. This means that you are normally unable to leave home on your own. Being homebound means that leaving home is a major effort. When you leave home it must be to attend Adult Day Care, or infrequent, for a short time or to get medical care.
  • The Home Health Agency must be approved by the Medicare program.
